KUWAIT CITY, July 7: Kuwait youth volleyball team will depart at dawn for Cairo to participate in a 12-day training camp. This camp is in preparation for the 22nd edition of the Asian U-20 Volleyball Championship, set to take place in Indonesia from July 23 to 31.
The delegation is led by Jassem Al-Failakawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Federation. The team includes Hammoud Al-Bathali as the administrator, Abdulaziz Al-Failakawi as the team manager, national coach Jassem Al-Tarawa, his Egyptian assistant Osama Madkour, and physical therapist Moataz Ezz El-Din. The 14 players attending are Fawaz Al-Mishaal, Ali Dashti, Barak Al-Nasser, Faisal Al-Sarraj, Hammoud Al-Masoud, Ahmed Al-Hamdan, Abdulaziz Al-Anzi, Khaled Bouaraki, Abdulaziz Al-Hashimi, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, Rashid Abdulkarim, Rashid Al-Nuaimi, Mahdi Hassan, and Ahmed Shaker.
Coach Jassim Al-Tarawa confirmed that the players have undergone an intensive training program focusing on physical, technical, and tactical aspects. He noted a significant improvement in the players' performance, which is expected to benefit them greatly during the external camp. Al-Tarawa mentioned that the team will play several trial matches during the Cairo camp, aiming to enhance player cohesion and improve overall performance through competitive practice.
