The Kuwaiti volleyball team.

KUWAIT CITY, July 25: The Kuwait Volleyball Association has announced that the new season for 2024-2025 will commence on September 15th and conclude in early June 2025. The association has requested that participating clubs submit player lists across various age levels and confirm their participation in local competitions through official letters.

Meanwhile, the delegation of the national junior volleyball team departs today from Istanbul, Turkey to Manama, Bahrain, to participate in the 15th Asian Championship for U-18 teams, scheduled to be held from July 26 to August 5.

The team’s delegation, led by Nayef Al-Failakawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Association, includes Abdullah Al-Rayes Adria, national coach Khaled Al-Mutairi, assistant coach Meshal Al-Sabti, Egyptian physiotherapist Ahmed Fouad, and 12 players: Walid Al-Shammari, Ahmed Al-Sarhid, Salem Al-Shammari, Saad Al-Failakawi, Abdullah Al-Ali, Nasser Al-Sanea, Bandar Al-Ahmad, Salem Khadada, Mishari Al-Mutouteh, Muhammad Al-Dukhi, Fahd Eyada, and Mishari Al-Ansari.

During the Turkish camp, the team played four trial matches: two against the IBB team, champions of the Turkish Youth League, and two against the Gimza U-20 team.

In other news, the national youth volleyball team suffered its third consecutive loss in the third group of the preliminary round of the 22nd Asian Youth Championship for U-20, currently being held in Surabaya, Indonesia, until July 30th.

The team lost to Bangladesh 0-3 (rounds 11-25, 15-25, 15-25). Earlier, it lost to Japan and India, placing them fourth and last in its group.
