KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Vice President of the Volleyball Federation, Nasser Al-Owaid, affirmed the readiness of Kuwait's national youth team for the upcoming West Asian Volleyball Championship, set to commence on Friday in Al Ain, UAE, and continue until the 25th of this month.

He stated, "The national team players, along with the technical staff led by national coach Jassim Al-Tararwah, are eager to deliver a distinguished performance that meets our aspirations." Al-Owaid noted that the tournament will feature 10 participating Gulf and Arab nations, divided into two groups: the first group includes Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, Syria, and Bahrain, while the second group consists of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan.

He highlighted that the team has thoroughly prepared for competitive participation in this tournament, with a focus on enhancing the players' skills and improving their technical and physical performance. Al-Owaid added, "We are optimistic about our team's capabilities and are confident in achieving positive results that reflect the efforts of both the players and the technical staff. We believe in our ability to compete strongly in this championship."

He also expressed hope that the tournament would contribute to the development of volleyball in the region and strengthen the bonds between the participating countries, emphasizing the importance of sports competition in fostering the exchange of experiences and building strong relationships among Arab youth.
