KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The Meteorological Department has forecast that Kuwait will experience moderate weather, influenced by an extension of a surface high-pressure system from the northwest. This system will bring a moderate air mass and northwesterly to variable winds, with the possibility of fog formation in some areas on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, explained that a low-pressure system is expected to move in from the southwest on Saturday afternoon. This will result in the proliferation of low and medium clouds, with the possibility of scattered light rain in some regions.
Today's weather will be moderate, with a gradual improvement in horizontal visibility. The skies will be partly cloudy, and winds will be variable, shifting to northeasterly and light to moderate in speed, ranging from 6 to 28 kilometers per hour. Scattered rain may occur in southern areas. The maximum expected temperature is between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius, while sea conditions are expected to be light to moderate, with waves ranging from 1 to 3 feet.
This evening, the weather will be cold, with variable winds shifting to northwesterly. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing at speeds of 8 to 28 km/h. There will be some scattered clouds, with a chance of fog in some areas. The expected minimum temperatures will range between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, and the sea will remain light to moderate, with waves from 1 to 3 feet.
Looking ahead to Friday, the weather will remain moderate. Winds will shift from northwesterly to variable in direction, with speeds ranging from 8 to 30 km/h. The expected maximum temperatures will range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions will continue to be light to moderate, with waves from 1 to 4 feet.
Friday evening will bring colder temperatures, partly cloudy skies, and northwesterly winds blowing at light to moderate speeds, ranging from 12 to 38 km/h. The expected minimum temperatures will be between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, with the sea remaining light to moderate, with waves from 2 to 5 feet.
The weather on Saturday will be moderate, with skies ranging from partly cloudy to cloudy. Winds will be from northwesterly to variable, light to moderate, ranging from 10 to 35 km/h. There will be a chance of scattered rain, and the expected maximum temperatures will range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius.
