KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: The Kuwait Meteorological Department has predicted moderate and partly cloudy weather over the weekend, with cooler temperatures at night. A low-pressure system is expected to bring increasing cloud cover, occasional drizzle, and light fog in some areas.

Thursday Forecast: According to KMD Director Dharar Al-Ali, Thursday's daytime weather will be moderate, partly cloudy to cloudy, with variable southeasterly winds ranging from 6 to 28 km/h. There is a chance of drizzle during the day, with maximum temperatures between 21°C and 23°C. The sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet. At night, the weather will be cold and partly cloudy, with southeasterly winds shifting to northwesterly at speeds of 8 to 30 km/h. Light fog and drizzle may occur in some areas, and temperatures will drop to a minimum of 7°C to 9°C. Sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet.

Friday Forecast: On Friday, moderate and partly cloudy weather is expected during the day, with northwesterly winds blowing at 10 to 35 km/h. Maximum temperatures will range between 20°C and 22°C, with the sea experiencing waves between 2 and 5 feet. The night will be cold and partly cloudy, with northwesterly winds ranging from 8 to 35 km/h and the possibility of light fog in certain areas. Minimum temperatures are forecasted to range between 6°C and 8°C, with light to moderate sea waves between 1 and 5 feet.

Saturday Forecast: Saturday’s weather will remain moderate during the day, with light to moderate northwesterly winds blowing at speeds of 8 to 30 km/h. Scattered clouds may appear, and maximum temperatures are expected to range between 19°C and 21°C. Sea conditions will feature light to moderate waves, between 1 and 4 feet. Saturday night will be cold, with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at 6 to 28 km/h. Frost is expected in agricultural and desert areas, with minimum temperatures dipping to 5°C to 7°C. The sea will have light to moderate waves between 1 and 3 feet.

Residents are advised to stay prepared for the cooler temperatures, particularly during the night, and to take precautions in areas prone to fog or frost.
