KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Kuwait is determined to provide ample employment opportunities for its youngsters, which in turn, would help meet the needs of the local job market, its youth body said on Sunday. Kuwait’s Public Authority for Youth (PAY) is committed to its “role” of providing jobs for young nationals, many of whom are currently unemployed, the body’s chief Dr. Mishaal Al-Shaheen Al-Rabie told a local job fair at Kuwait’s Australian College.
To address the matter, PAY has launched a new initiative comprised of a web portal allowing fresh graduates to sign up for jobs, added the official, saying the platform has already churned out more than 2,000 jobs for youngsters. More than 100 companies are included in the portal as part of plans to lure more youth into the private sector, allowing it the chance to enlist the services of qualified personnel, he underlined.(KUNA)
