A Kuwaiti player makes a goal attempt against China.

AMMAN, July 15, (KUNA): Kuwait defeated China 28-24 in its opening match of the 18th Asian Youth Handball Championship, held in Amman, Jordan. Qaid Al-Adwani, Head of the Kuwaiti delegation, commended the players' efforts and technical skills in remarks to KUNA. He noted that the Kuwaiti team is competing in a challenging group that includes Iran and China.

Following the game, Tayseer Al-Mansi, President of the Jordanian Handball Federation, named Kuwait's Abdulaziz Al-Najjar as the man of the match. This championship serves as a qualifying event for the 25th IHF Men's Junior (U21) Handball World Championship in Poland in 2025.
