KUWAIT CITY, June 13: Saudi journalist and supervisor at the Saudi Public Authority for Culture Abdullah Makharesh disclosed that the kingdom has suspended all artistic activities of the Kuwaiti artist Mona Shadad on radio and television channels, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The decision came after Mona Shadad appeared in a video praising the Qatari regime and its Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad, with his photo printed on a piece of cloth.

In the video, Shadad said she wasn’t paid by anybody to take such action, affirming she loves the people of Qatar and the entire Gulf.

Makharesh announced the decision in two tweets posted on his Twitter account to be quoted by all Saudi media, saying “We are not a threat to anyone. We are a strong people and won’t be silent on those who offend our country”.
