KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16 : Adel Al-Gharib, Kuwait Squash Federation’s board member, was elected Vice President of the Asian Squash Federation for the 2025-2029 term. This came on the sidelines of the 22nd Asian Junior Championship in Hong Kong, with representatives from 27 member countries in attendance. In a press statement on Sunday, Al-Gharib expressed that his new role came with great responsibility, emphasizing his commitment to advancing the sport in Asia globally. He also stated that he would focus on organizing Asian tournaments during his term. Notably, Al-Gharib has an extensive history in squash, having held multiple sports leadership positions and overseen various international tournaments in Kuwait. As a player, he represented Salmiya Club and the Kuwait national team in numerous Gulf, Arab, and international championships. He was the Kuwait and Gulf champion from 1987 to 1997. (KUNA)
