KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti for possessing ammunition rounds and some material believed to be used in making explosives, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect was arrested for violating traffic laws and while issuing a citation, he appeared confused and it gave reason for the patrolmen to search his car. The man and the contraband have been handed over to the Criminal Evidences Department.

Weapons found: Police are looking for an unidentified tenant in whose apartment police have found weapons and ammunition used in the anti-aircraft guns, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the information about the arms and ammunition was given to the landlord by the building guard and the landlord then informed the police. The daily did not give more details. The ordnance has been handed over to the concerned authority to lift the fingerprints.

Unsettled debt: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti who had been sentenced in absentia for failing to settle KD 45,000 debt, reports Al-Rai daily.
