Kuwaiti Citizen and Two Indians Arrested for Diesel Theft

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 17: The investigation authorities have ordered the detention of a Kuwaiti citizen and two Indian workers employed by him on charges of stealing diesel from an oil company and selling it to truck drivers on the convoy road.

According to details, an employee of the oil company uncovered the plot and promptly reported it to the Ministry of Interior's operations unit. A case was registered and referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigations. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the accused Kuwaiti had been conducting his illegal activity in the Al-Wafra desert under the guise of sheep herding. He had set up a shed and was aided by two Indian workers who were tanker truck drivers. They were stealing diesel from a location belonging to an oil company, filling it into water tanks to avoid detection, and then selling it to truck drivers who had been informed of the location by the two workers.

The Kuwaiti citizen and his accomplices were arrested. During questioning, the Kuwaiti citizen admitted to selling the stolen diesel and receiving 200 dinars per tanker, with the remaining amount split between the two workers. Based on these confessions, the investigator ordered their detention and transfer to the central prison pending further investigation.
