KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: The Court of Appeals increased the imprisonment term of a Kuwaiti citizen, who was accused of killing a young man using a knife during a quarrel in Raqqa, from seven years to ten years.
According to the case file, officers from the General Department of Criminal Investigations had arrested the suspect following his quarrel with the victim, during which he stabbed the latter in the heart using a knife and killed him. During investigations, the suspect insisted that he stabbed the victim in self-defense during the quarrel, and had not intended to stab him to kill him. During the court session, he had denied the charge of premeditated murder.
