KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: A Kuwaiti citizen has been sentenced to seven years in prison with hard labor after being convicted of attempting to join the ISIS terrorist organization and plotting attacks against security forces. The Court found the defendant guilty of recruiting individuals to join ISIS, organizing operations targeting security personnel, and planning attacks on Gulf leaders, including the Kuwaiti Monarchs.
The accused had been transferred to Kuwait from Lebanon following coordination between the two countries' security agencies. The Criminal Court convicted him for his involvement in terrorist activities, marking a significant development in Kuwait’s efforts to combat terrorism and ensure national security.
