KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Khaled Al-Tahous, sentenced an employee at Nuwaiseeb border to five years in prison and ordered his dismissal for forging an official document. The court also sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen and his wife -- both holders of dual nationalities -- to five years in prison and banned them from traveling in the same case. The Public Prosecution charged the employee with forging an official document when he stated in the exit documents of the Kuwaiti and his wife processed, through the Interior Ministry’s computer system at Nuwaiseeb border, that the couple left country.
Since the employee manipulated the document, it was rendered valid as he is in charge of verifying information. The prosecution pointed out that the employee used a tool he accessed through the Internet to forge the official document in the electronic entry and exit data processing system of the ministry. He used his operator number to forge the departure information of the couple in the data processing system, stating they traveled on Sept 8 and 14, 2021 from Kuwait to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
