Court jails Egyptian ‘teacher’ for 5 years in child molestation case

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 5: The Court of Cassation sentenced an Egyptian Islamic education teacher to five years imprisonment for kidnapping and sexually assaulting an expatriate child. Earlier, the Criminal Court had sentenced him to ten years imprisonment but the Court of Appeal reduced the sentence to five years. According to the case file, the defendant violated the innocence of a young child and betrayed his role as a teacher. The Public Prosecution had charged him with kidnapping a minor through deception with the intent to assault him sexually. He lured the child by engaging him in conversation, offering him money, and coaxing him to a house in Farwaniya far away from his home, where he sexually assaulted him, the details of which are in the investigation files.
