Kuwaiti Sentenced to 4 Years for Forging Kuwait Currency

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Court of Appeal, chaired by Counselor Hassan Al-Shammari, has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to four years in prison for counterfeiting 20-dinar banknotes and circulating them among his victims, including stall and shop owners, as well as delivery service operators. The accused used these victims to spread counterfeit money in the market.

The security forces apprehended the defendant after receiving multiple reports about counterfeit currency circulating. In a well-coordinated operation, they successfully captured him red-handed with fake currency in his possession. Authorities also discovered crime tools and printing equipment in his home, linking him to the counterfeit operation.
