HARBIN, Feb 10, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti Embassy in China affirmed its full commitment to supporting the Kuwaiti teams participating in the 9th Asian Winter Games (Harbin 2025).

This statement was made by Faisal Al-Mawed, the embassy’s counselor, on behalf of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to China, Jassem Al-Najem, during a meeting with the Kuwaiti media delegation attending the ice hockey competitions of the Kuwaiti team at the tournament.

Al-Mawed expressed hope for the Kuwaiti mission's distinguished participation in the games, which he believes will reflect the reputation of Kuwaiti winter sports and enhance the standing of Kuwait on the international stage.

He emphasized that the inclusion of Kuwaiti athletes among the continent's elite competitors is already an achievement to be proud of, as they represent Kuwaiti sports through their athletic prowess, strong values, and exemplary sportsmanship, becoming role models that showcase the principles of Kuwait.

He also praised the efforts of Fahid Al-Ajmi, the director of the Kuwaiti mission, for his exceptional work in managing the team, ensuring that all necessary conditions are in place for the athletes to perform their best. Al-Mawed further commended China for its excellent organization of the event.
