KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Portugal has issued a cautionary advisory to Kuwaiti citizens residing in Portugal amid ongoing forest fires, particularly in the northern regions of the country.

In a statement provided to KUNA, the embassy emphasized the importance of adhering to the instructions and directives issued by Portuguese authorities in response to the crisis. Kuwaiti nationals have been advised to exercise extreme caution and to stay informed about the latest developments.

The embassy also provided an emergency contact number (+351916666645) for citizens to call in case of inquiries or urgent situations.

Portugal is currently experiencing a significant wave of forest fires across various regions, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to 40 others. The state of alert for the fires is anticipated to remain in effect until next Thursday.
