KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Kuwaiti fencer Muhammad Mahdi clinched the silver medal in the individual competitions of the World Junior Fencing Championship held in Tehran, Iran, on a Saturday. This remarkable achievement further enhances the Kuwaiti Fencing Federation's track record in one of the premier tournaments organized by the International Federation of Fencing for junior athletes.

Throughout the tournament, Muhammad Mahdi demonstrated his prowess with impressive performances, triumphing over formidable opponents from Turkey, South Korea, and Iran in the knockout rounds. His exceptional journey culminated in a final match against a formidable player from the Uzbekistan national team, who also holds the title of Asian champion.

Notably, the Kuwaiti fencing team, comprising athletes such as Mohammed Mahdi, Hamad Al-Shamlan, and Hussein Al-Amari, will continue their pursuit of excellence in the team competitions of the tournament scheduled from the 4th to the 6th of this month.
