Kuwaiti Girls’ Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Excels Securing Multiple Medals

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: The Kuwaiti girls’ rhythmic gymnastics team made an impressive mark in the 4th International Pharaohs’ Cup Championship held in Cairo, Egypt. The tournament concluded yesterday, with the team securing three additional medals in the junior category. Raya Al-Qassar clinched the “gold” medal in the hula hoop, while Nabila Al-Kharafi earned the “silver” medal for the rhythmic ball and the “bronze” medal for the free performance.

In the rhythmic ball category, Raya Al-Qassar achieved a commendable fourth-place position. Amina Al-Kandari secured fourth place in the “hula hoop” competition and sixth place in the “rhythmic ball” competition. Notably, this category witnessed the participation of 106 players representing 28 teams.

With these victories, Kuwait’s medal count reached a total of five. Sarah Al-Bannai had previously won the “gold” medal in the rhythmic ball, and Talia Behbehani secured the “bronze” medal in the same competition.

Fahd Al-Sola, the President of the Kuwaiti and Arab Gymnastics Federations, extended his congratulations to the national team champions, their families, and the federation. He expressed immense pride in this new achievement and conveyed his gratitude to the General Sports Authority and the Olympic Committee for their unwavering support of the Gymnastics Federation and its members during their international engagements.
