KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: The Criminal Court sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to one-year imprisonment with hard labor for assaulting a police officer from the Ministry of Interior. The suspect was brought to trial on charges of using a narcotic substance, assaulting the officer, threatening to kill him, and deliberately damaging the officer’s patrol car. The incident occurred while the officer was attempting to intervene in a fight between the suspect and another individual in front of one of their houses, and the suspect crashed into the patrol car during the altercation
