Kuwaiti Man Tricked by Fake Female Caller, Robbed and Beaten by Gang

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 22: A young Kuwaiti man fell victim to a scam orchestrated by four other Kuwaiti men. The incident began when he received a call from someone pretending to be a woman. The caller engaged him in conversation and gradually built rapport, eventually arranging a meeting at a hotel room. When the young man arrived at the specified room, he was ambushed by the four men, who physically assaulted him, hurled insults, and stole the cash from his wallet. They also transferred the funds from his bank account to their own.

To extort more money, they forced him to contact his friends and ask them to transfer funds to his account, which they then siphoned off. It was later revealed that one of the perpetrators had impersonated the woman on the phone by mimicking a female voice.

After the attackers left, the victim reported the incident to the Rumaithiya police station. The Public Prosecution was notified and subsequently issued an order to apprehend the suspects. A team of detectives and police raided the hotel room and arrested the four men. During the investigation, they confessed to the crime, and one suspect's phone showed evidence of the financial transfers.

The case has been classified as a felony, and the accused remains in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
