KUWAIT CITY, July 23: Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq, Tareq Al-Faraj, stated on Monday that the involvement of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah in the Second Baghdad International Conference on Combating Drugs demonstrates Kuwait's commitment to tackling this issue and reducing its threat to society.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Faraj emphasized that the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior's address at the conference is a clear indication of Kuwait's dedication to eradicating the dangers of drugs, particularly synthetic ones, and its willingness to collaborate with other nations in this effort.

The Kuwaiti ambassador highlighted that drugs pose a significant threat to all countries, undermining their societies, and stressed the importance of developing strategies to confront and protect communities from these serious dangers.

Today, the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior participated in the Second Baghdad International Conference on Combating Drugs, along with the interior ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, and Iraq. The conference concluded with a call for regional cooperation to combat drug abuse and the adoption of modern methods for tracking and eliminating drug threats.
