KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22, (KUNA): Kuwait Anticorruption Authority (Nazaha) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding with Egyptian Administrative Control Authority (ACA) to fight corruption.
The signed memo will help boost bilateral cooperation between the government of Kuwait represented by Nazaha and the Egyptian government represented by ACA, it said in a statement. Nazaha seeks to achieve its goals, exercise its competencies, and enhance its bilateral cooperation with its counterpart bodies in other countries in order to exchange experiences and combating corruption, the statement added.
The statement pointed out that signed memorandum comes as a requirement of implementing the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), which urges the member states to unite and cooperate through bilateral understandings and agreement. Two sides agreed to activate the Memorandum of Understanding at the earliest opportunity through exchanging visits, experiences in all fields related to prevent and combat corruption, statement noted.
