KUWAIT CITY, May 11: Investigations by Hawalli detectives concluded that the report of a patrol officer about a citizen impersonating a security man was baseless, reports Al-Anba daily. The patrol officer from the General Traffic Department in the Interior Ministry accused a citizen of impersonating a security man. This happened after the patrol officer stopped a taxi for violating traffic regulations. The officer then asked the citizen, who was inside the taxi, to present his identification card. The citizen told the officer that he forgot to bring his civil identification card, so he presented a security badge. During interrogation, the citizen denied impersonating a security man. He explained that he is a former soldier in the Ministry of Interior, indicating the patrol officer repeatedly asked him to present proof of his identification and threatened to detain him if he fails to do so, thus, he had no option but to present his old badge.
