Kuwaiti officials enhance leadership skills at CSC workshop in Japan

TOKYO, Japan, Jan 25: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) organized a leadership workshop in Tokyo, Japan, with the participation of several Kuwaiti officials. This initiative is part of international cooperation efforts and aims to enhance leadership competencies.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the CSC explained that the workshop is part of a memorandum of understanding signed with the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICC). It was designed for senior leaders in Kuwaiti government institutions.

The workshop, which began on Monday and concluded on Friday, focused on developing participants' leadership skills. The training covered topics such as strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, change management, and effective communication. The program aimed to empower participants to think strategically, plan long-term, and improve their team management abilities, all while fostering innovation within their respective institutions.

The CSC emphasized that this program is a significant step toward achieving sustainable development and boosting institutional innovation. By equipping leaders with international best practices, the workshop aims to enhance government performance and support Kuwait's long-term vision.

As part of the workshop, Counselor Khaled Al-Zeer, Acting Chargé d'Affaires at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Japan, hosted a luncheon for the Kuwaiti delegation. The event was attended by several Kuwaiti officials as well as representatives from the Japanese side.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Fatima Al-Salem, Director General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA); Ziad Al-Najem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Ambassador Najib Al-Badr, Assistant Foreign Minister for GCC Affairs; Ambassador Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Diplomatic Institute Affairs; Ambassador Nasser Al-Subaih; Eid Al-Rashidi, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works; and Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar, Assistant Undersecretary for Civil Medical Services Affairs at the Ministry of Health.

The workshop was coordinated by Dalal Al-Yahya and Jarrah Al-Hussaini from the Civil Service Bureau.
