Kuwaiti parkour team set for the inaugural Arab Championship.

KUWAIT CITY, July 18: The Kuwaiti parkour team has embarked on their journey to participate in the inaugural Arab championship for the sport, which commenced in Amman, Jordan yesterday and will continue until next Sunday.

Led by Nasser Al-Helfi, Treasurer of both the Kuwaiti and Arab Gymnastics Federations, the delegation includes Coach Suleiman Abdul-Rida, referee Muhammad Al-Attar, and athletes Ali Al-Shatti and Khalifa Al-Asfar.

The Kuwait Gymnastics Association expressed gratitude to the Public Authority for Sports, under Acting Director General Bashar Abdullah, for his steadfast support and approval of the parkour team's participation in this landmark event. He wished the team success in achieving a notable Arab performance in this modern discipline, slated to debut in the Olympic Games at "Los Angeles 2028".

Parkour, supervised by the Kuwait Gymnastics Association alongside artistic gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics, represents a strategic focus for the association as it aims to establish a robust presence in the sport.
