KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Kuwaiti girls' rhythmic gymnastics team has departed for Tunisia to participate in the Mediterranean Union Championship, scheduled to take place in Tunis from December 9 to 13.

This marks a significant milestone as Kuwait, along with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, joins this edition of the championship at the invitation of the Arab Gymnastics Federation.

The delegation is led by Fahd Al-Soula, President of the Arab and Kuwaiti Gymnastics Federations, and comprises five talented athletes: Sarah Al-Bannai, Lian Behbehani, Raya Al-Qassar, Nabila Al-Kharafi, and Amina Al-Kandari. They are accompanied by Ukrainian coaches Irina Kovalchuk and Victoria Vsyuk, along with team administrator Lujain Al-Asfour.

The Mediterranean Union Championship is renowned for its high level of competition, featuring advanced gymnastics nations such as Spain, Portugal, and Greece, alongside several Arab countries. This platform provides a valuable opportunity for Kuwaiti athletes to gain experience and engage with top-level competitors, enhancing their skills and confidence.
