KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1, (KUNA): Kuwaiti shooters achieved remarkable results in the annual qualification competitions of the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) in 2023, as highlighted by Duaij Al-Otaibi, the Chairperson of the Kuwait Shooting Club.
Al-Otaibi, in a statement to KUNA on Monday, announced that Olympic shooter Abdullah Al-Taraqi secured the top position in the skeet competition, outperforming participants from across the Asian continent. Additionally, Talal Al-Taraqi, another Kuwaiti shooter, claimed the second spot in the same category.
Attributing the success of Kuwaiti shooters to their outstanding achievements in the past year, particularly at the latest Asian Games in China, Al-Otaibi emphasized their commitment to showcasing stellar performances as Kuwaiti representatives in significant international sports events.
He expressed confidence that Kuwaiti shooters would continue to deliver excellent results in the upcoming years, extending thanks to all supporters of the sport and expressing gratitude, especially to the political leadership, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
