KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: The Court of Appeal has upheld a Criminal Court ruling sentencing a Ministry of Interior soldier to 10 years of imprisonment with hard labor, while acquitting two other defendants in a case involving membership in a banned organization and planning terrorist activities in Kuwait.
The defendants were brought to trial after investigations revealed their affiliation with the terrorist group ISIS. They were found to have shared extremist ideologies and video content supporting the group, encouraged others to join, and conspired to attack the U.S. military base at Camp Arifjan.
