KUWAIT CITY, July 23: The Ministry of Education announced today the participation of five Kuwaiti students in the International Physics Olympiad, taking place in Isfahan, Iran. The students are competing with the support of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity and under the supervision of the Ministry's General Technical Guidance for Sciences.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to developing and showcasing the talents of exceptional students. This participation aligns with the Ministry’s goals of promoting Kuwaiti excellence on global platforms and securing medals in international competitions.
The Kuwaiti delegation includes:
- Ahmed Bader from Duaij Al-Salman Al-Sabah Secondary School
- Hussein Al-Awadhi from Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah Secondary School
- Salem Al-Ajmi from Talha Bin Obaidullah Secondary School
- Salman Mohammed from Salah Al-Din Secondary School
- Jassim Mohammed from Al-Shuja Bin Al-Aslam Secondary School
The students will be supervised throughout the competition by technical science advisors Anoud Al-Kandari and Fatima Ashkanani. The Olympiad is scheduled to run from July 20 to July 30, 2024.
