DOHA, Jan 29: Several players from the Kuwaiti table tennis team expressed their joy in participating in the Qatar Junior Table Tennis Championship, held in Doha, Qatar.

They emphasized that competing in such a prestigious tournament helps elevate their performance, especially given the dominance of Asian players in the sport.

Khaled Al-Dulaimi highlighted the mental and physical coordination required in table tennis, describing it as an enjoyable and strategic game. He expressed his delight after securing a hard-fought 3-2 victory over a player from the Turkmenistan national team.

He added that facing international opponents enhances technical skills and provides valuable experience, particularly when competing against top-tier Asian players.

Meanwhile, Mishaan Muhammad celebrated his 3-1 win over an Egyptian national team player, noting that the championship offers a great opportunity to engage with players from around the world. He credited his success to rigorous training and strong commitment, which contributed to his positive performance in the tournament.

Similarly, Zain Al-Ali expressed her excitement about competing in the championship, emphasizing her determination to achieve a strong result and represent Kuwait with pride.

She also acknowledged the presence of highly skilled players in the tournament, stating that competing against them is an invaluable experience that will aid in future competitions.

The championship commenced two days ago with preliminary qualifiers for the Under-11 and Under-13 categories and will continue until January 30.
