KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti teacher to five-year imprisonment for inciting a student to engage in debauchery via a social media platform. The Public Prosecution had previously ordered the pretrial detention of the teacher on charges of encouraging one of his students to commit acts of immorality through the Internet. In a statement, the Public Prosecution clarified that the accused teacher had sent the student inappropriate phrases, images, and video recordings through a social media app, all of which violated public morals. He also had a prior conviction for similar offenses. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the charges attributed to him.
