Kuwaiti Woman Involved in Heated Traffic Dispute

KUWAIT CITY, March 15: A case was filed at Abu Halifa Police Station against a female citizen on charges of insult, slander and property damage. The accused, a Kuwaiti woman in her 30s, denied the allegations; claiming that she was not at fault and argued that the charge of vandalism is irrelevant. She explained that she stopped the complainant to reprimand him for halting suddenly, which led to her colliding with his vehicle from behind.

The Operations Unit at the Ministry of Interior received a report about a dispute in Abu Halifa. Upon arrival of police officers, the complainant stated that the defendant rear-ended his vehicle. Given the minor damage and the nature of the collision, which occurred from behind, the complainant believed the woman was at fault and continued on his way. He added “I was surprised to find the woman following me, which led me to stop. She then began insulting me and accusing me of causing her to crash into my vehicle from behind.” The police instructed the complainant and the accused to lodge a report at Abu Halifa Police Station for further investigation.
