KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: A Kuwaiti citizen has filed a fraud case at Al-Faihaa Police Station after being deceived while attempting to purchase a women's suit through Instagram. According to a security source, the complainant, a Ministry of Health employee born in 1968, discovered an Instagram account advertising women's suits at high prices. She contacted the account owner via WhatsApp and agreed to purchase a suit for 7 dinars, making the payment through a bank link provided by the seller.

However, after completing the payment, the citizen found herself blocked by the seller. Following her complaint, an investigation by a telecom company revealed that the phone number used belonged to a young woman. When summoned for questioning, the girl denied any knowledge of the incident.

Authorities are continuing investigations to resolve the case and take necessary legal action. The incident highlights the risks of online transactions with unverified sellers.
