KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18: The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to three years of imprisonment with hard labor for violating the State Security Crimes Law through her posts on the social media platform “X.”
The Public Prosecution charged her with insulting the Amir, inciting the overthrow of the regime, and misusing communication devices. Despite denying the charges, she claimed that someone outside the country coerced her into posting the tweets under threat.
After a thorough investigation, the court proceeded with the sentencing, underscoring the country’s firm stance against actions deemed harmful to state security.
