KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The 4th Kuwait International Aquathlon Championship, which was organized by the Kuwait Triathlon Club on the evening of Friday, May 12, witnessed strong competitions on the Marina Beach, in the presence of the Deputy Director for Competitive Sports Affairs at the Public Authority for Sports Bashar Abdullah, the President of the Kuwait Triathlon Club Rashid Al-Kandari, and members of the Board of Directors.

Muhannad Al-Shafei came first in the general ranking for men, followed by his compatriot Saif Al-Din Ismail in second place, and Omar Hamza from Bahrain in third place. In the women’s category, Malak Ismail from Egypt came first, followed by Najlaa Al-Jariwi from Kuwait in second place, and Juliana Syria from Argentina came third. In the Gulf category for men, Omar Hamza from Bahrain won first place, followed by his compatriot Abdul Rahman Mubarak in second place, and Hamad Al-Khalidi from Kuwait in third. In the Gulf category for women, Kuwaiti women dominated the first three places with Najlaa Al-Jariwi in first place, Lulwa Al-Rifai in second, and Fatima Al-Ghanim in third. In the age category of 15-19 years for women, Phoebe Kemp from Britain came first, followed by Lulwa Al-Rifai from Kuwait in second.

In the age category of 20-29 years for women, Kuwaiti players took the first three places, with Fatima Al- Ghanim in first place, and Huda Al- Saleh in second. In the age category of 30-39 years for women, Noura Al-Barrak came first. In the age category of 40-49 years, Jelly Su from the Philippines came first. In the age category of 15-19 years for men, Abdulrahman Al-Hassan from Bahrain came first, followed by Fahd Al-Anzi in second place and Omar Al- Shaibani from Kuwait in third. In the age category of 20-29 years for men, Abdul Rahman Mubarak from Bahrain came first followed by Hamad Al-Khalidi in second and Ali Dashti from Kuwait in third.

In the age category of 30-39 years for men, Kuwaitis Yousef Dashti and Saad Faraj won first and second places respectively. In the age category of 40-49 years for men, Mohsen Al-Ali from the United Arab Emirates won the first place, followed by Yaqoub Al-Rashidi in second place and Saleh Al-Duwaisan from Kuwait in third. In the category of over 50 years for men, Alistair Stewart from Britain came first and Mohammed Al-Hamad from Kuwait came second.

The President of the Kuwait Triathlon Club Rashid Al-Kandari congratulated the male and female competitors who won top places in the Kuwait International Aquathlon Championship 4th Edition. He highlighted that the strong level of competition in the tournament among the champions from different countries of the world serves as the best evidence of the success of the tournament. Al-Kandari wished the rest of the players success in the upcoming tournaments. He thanked the committees working in the tournament for their keenness to prepare all matters to ensure a strong technical and organizational tournament.
