KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: Official data shows the average salary of citizens in the public and private sectors saw an increase of about 22 dinars during the first 6 months of this year, as the average monthly wage for citizens increased from 1,491 dinars at the end of December 2021, to about 1,513 dinars at the end of June 2022.

The average monthly wage for citizens working in the government sector increased from 1,539 dinars per month at the end of December 2021 to 1,555 dinars at the end of last June, while the average salary of citizens working in the private sector increased from 1,255 dinars to 1,297 dinars during the same period. The average monthly wage for expatriates in Kuwait increased by about 5 dinars per month, about 343 dinars at the end of last June, compared to 338 dinars at the end of December 2022.
