KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: As of the end of 2024, the Kuwaiti population reached 1,567,983, making it the top nationality in the country through an increase of 21,775 (1.3 percent) compared to their population of 1,546,202 at the end of 2023. According to the latest statistics from the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), the Indian community came second with a population of 1,007,961, with an increase of 0.7 percent from approximately 1,000,726 at the end of 2023. The Egyptian community came in third, with 657,280 at the end of 2024, compared to 644,042 the previous year, with an increase of 2 percent. In fourth place is the Bangladeshi community which witnessed a rise of six percent. Their population reached 292,810 by the end of 2024, compared to 274,974 in 2023.
The Filipino community came in fifth place, with a population of 223,482 at the end of 2024, showing a significant decrease of 16.3 percent from 267,259 at the end of 2023. The Syrians ranked sixth, with 183,103 people, up from 161,439 in 2023, reflecting an increase of 11.8 percent. The Sri Lankans came in seventh, with 170,251 members, an increase of 14.4 percent from 145,633 at the end of 2023. The Saudis ranked eighth with 142,760, showing a growth of 2.3 percent from 139,481 in 2023. The Nepalese community came in ninth, with 140,441 by the end of 2024, marking a huge increase of 23.4 percent from 107,489 the previous year. Lastly, the Pakistanis ranked tenth, with 94,749 members, with an increase of three percent from 91,058 in 2023.
