Winners celebrate on the podium as officials look on after the awarding ceremony.

CAIRO, July 8: Hussein Dashti, Secretary General of the Athletics Federation, commended the exceptional performance and spirited efforts of Kuwaiti athletes at the Arab Youth Championship (under 23) currently underway in Egypt, concluding on July 9.

Kuwait's athletes have excelled, with Hussein Al-Tamimi clinching a gold medal in the shot put, Abdullah Al-Azmi securing a bronze in the long jump, and Abdullah Al-Manayes achieving bronze in the 110-meter hurdles.

Dashti remarked, "The tournament features fierce competition among Arab champions vying for top honors. Kuwait's victories represent a notable achievement, showcasing the strength of competition among athletes from across the Arab world." He expressed optimism for additional medal successes as the tournament draws to a close. As head of the delegation, Dashti dedicated these achievements by Kuwaiti heroes to the political leadership and the people of Kuwait.
