KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has been declared the 17th ruler of Kuwait, succeeding the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This succession, governed by constitutional principles and the emirate's inheritance laws, marks a new chapter in the nation's history. The announcement was made by Issa Al-Kandari, deputy prime minister and minister of state for cabinet affairs, following the death of Sheikh Nawaf, who had ruled for three years.

Boasting a career spanning six decades, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, received accolades from the Council of Ministers for his accomplishments and notable roles in various official capacities. His educational journey commenced with the family's guidance, progressing through basic school education at the Mubarakiya School—the first regular private school in Kuwait.
