Dhari Burgess receives the Ladies in Blue delegation.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: Dhari Burgess, the President of the Basketball Federation, eagerly welcomed the triumphant Kuwait women's 3x3 team at Kuwait Airport. The team secured a commendable third place and a bronze medal in the Bahrain International Triathlon Championship, which concluded in the capital, Manama.

Expressing his pride, the Federation President announced that the Board of Directors is set to bestow honors upon the accomplished women's 3x3 team. Notably, the Kuwaiti teams have been making remarkable strides in the 3x3 trios game, with the men's team recently clinching silver and bronze medals in the Gulf Men's Championship held in Qatar two weeks ago. These achievements, according to Burgess, signify the progressing prowess of Kuwaiti teams in the sport.

Burgess emphasized the federation's commitment to advancing the 3x3 game, revealing the adoption of a comprehensive committee program. This program aims to elevate the sport through an increase in the number of tournaments, both domestically and internationally, thereby enhancing Kuwait's standing in the 3x3 arena. Burgess appealed to the Sports Authority for augmented financial support, crucial for successfully executing this ambitious program.

Anticipating robust participation, Burgess mentioned that the "Al-Azraq" team is gearing up for the upcoming Arab Championship for Men's National Teams in Cairo, Egypt, scheduled for December. This championship will feature prominent Arab teams, and Burgess highlighted that the National Teams Committee has meticulously prepared a training program for "Al-Azraq" in preparation for the tournament's challenges.
