This statement was made by Al-Marri to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after meeting with the Waed volunteer team, which is visiting Jordan on a relief mission in cooperation with the Namaa Charity Association to provide humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan. Al-Marri stated that the well-known and leading Kuwaiti charitable work "has taken various forms and is increasing in both quantity and quality, keeping pace with the repercussions of various crises and disaster-stricken areas through organized institutional work and the official and popular will."

He explained that the State of Kuwait has many charitable associations and foundations accredited by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs that carry out charitable projects inside and outside Kuwait, in addition to voluntary work associations and volunteer teams.

Ambassador Al-Marri expressed his pride in the workers in the field of charity for their great and continuous efforts to achieve the goal of serving the needy around the world, noting that "they are the best ambassadors for our country, Kuwait."

He stressed the full and permanent readiness of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Amman to provide all necessary facilities to Kuwaiti charitable societies operating in Jordan.

For his part, Director of the Relief Department at Namaa Charity Khaled Al-Shamri told KUNA that the relief mission to Jordan comes within the training program for Waed students with the aim of providing support and humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan. He added that Namaa Charity has a special department for volunteering that aims to enhance the culture of volunteering and humanitarian work among young people, instilling the values of giving and helping in the hearts of students through training and volunteer programs that contribute to developing their skills and nurturing their sense of social responsibility. Al-Shamri stated that the team will visit orphanages and families supported by Namaa Charity in Jordan and visit the King Hussein Cancer Center to confirm the ongoing partnership with the center to provide the necessary support for treating patients.

He explained that the team will join a special entertainment program to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of orphaned children, "which reflects our commitment to providing a decent and hopeful life for all beneficiaries of our services."

The Kuwaiti volunteer team (Waed) aims to empower youth for the future as an important platform to train Kuwaiti youth and qualify them for practical life at an early age by employing them in fieldwork that will provide them with work skills.
