Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) refers ex-minister to public prosecution over public funds seizure.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: The Kuwaiti Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred a former minister to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of committing two serious crimes: facilitating the seizure of public funds and causing significant harm to the state’s interests and finances.

Nazaha confirmed on its official account on the social networking site X on Sunday, that it is determined to continue its efforts and procedures related to examining, gathering evidence, and investigating all credible information it receives.

The Authority also expressed its appreciation for the role of whistleblowers in providing essential information and data regarding corruption incidents. Nazaha emphasized its commitment to offering them the highest levels of protection and confidentiality, as required by law and its executive regulations.
