KUWAIT CITY, March 20:  Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and Acting Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, conducted an inspection of the new airport project on Wednesday to monitor the progress of the new passenger terminal 'T2') and the advancement of the project’s three packages.

In a statement to the press, Al-Mashaan emphasized her strong commitment to enhancing the country’s air transport infrastructure by adhering to the highest international standards in civil aviation. She stressed the importance of coordinating efforts to address any outstanding issues related to the new airport terminal construction.

Al-Mashaan also called for the swift completion of all tasks with the required quality and efficiency, in line with the approved technical specifications and the set timelines. She highlighted the significance of collaborating with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to ensure the smooth execution of the project.

The Minister further underscored the government’s dedication to mobilizing all available resources and providing necessary support to ensure the timely completion and operation of the airport services and facilities.

The inspection tour included a visit to the main building, where Al-Mashaan reviewed the progress of finishing works in the building’s facilities, including the air conditioning systems, to ensure their readiness for the upcoming summer season. She also visited the parking building and assessed the latest developments in the project's overall progress.

Additionally, Al-Mashaan examined the works of Package No. 3, which involves earthworks for aircraft parking areas, excavation, infrastructure works, as well as concrete pouring and reinforcement for the service buildings related to the package. She received a detailed update from project officials regarding the completion status, ongoing progress, and any challenges faced during the project’s implementation.
