Kuwait's MoE launches new smart chat service to improve communication and education
MoE introduces an AI chat service to provide instant educational support in Kuwait.

KUWAIT CITY, April 7:  The Ministry of Education (MoE) launched a new smart chat service, Ma'a Hamad Chat, on Monday, a cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solution designed to enhance communication and improve efficiency within the educational process.

According to a press statement from the MoE, Ma'a Hamad Chat serves as a key digital communication tool that allows users, including students, teachers, parents, ministry staff, and the general public, to interact directly, ask questions, and receive immediate support.

The service aims to provide accurate answers based on approved curricula, enabling students to access reliable scientific information quickly and easily. Developed by the Ministry's Information Systems Department, the chat service supports interaction in multiple languages and local dialects, utilizing AI technologies to deliver responses tailored to users' needs and enhance their experience. The outputs are monitored and audited by a specialized team to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information provided.

The MoE explained that users can specify their class, semester, and educational subject, allowing them to ask specific questions and receive immediate responses sourced from curriculum content through the student library available within the service. While Ma'a Hamad Chat is not intended to replace the school textbooks, it is designed to complement them, simplifying and organizing the presentation of educational content to improve students’ understanding and academic achievement.

The service is categorized into several sections, including services for teachers and administrators, students and parents, as well as general school information. Additionally, there are services for individuals and access to written and visual content, making it easier for users to find the information they need quickly and accurately.

The Ministry of Education emphasized its commitment to creating an advanced digital educational environment that supports the overall educational process and aligns with the Ministry’s vision for comprehensive digital transformation. The Ministry expressed confidence that the Ma'a Hamad Chat service would significantly improve the distance learning experience and enhance communication between all stakeholders involved in education.

The Ministry also stressed the importance of gathering user feedback to continuously develop and refine the service, reflecting its dedication to meeting the needs of the educational community and providing solutions to foster the development of the education sector in all its aspects.
