KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Kuwait,s national karate team achieved remarkable success at the recently concluded West Asian Championship held in Kingdom of Jordan. The team secured a total of 20 medals, comprising 4 gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze.

Here are the outstanding athletes who contributed to our medal tally:

  • Omar Jassim Bastaki: Gold in youth kata and gold in general kata.
  • Muhammad Al-Roumi: Gold in the 75kg category under 21.
  • Musa Al-Mutairi: Gold in the youth category.
  • Saad Al-Mutairi: Silver in junior kata.
  • Hassan Al-Majadi: Silver in kumite youth.
  • Muhammad Al-Harbi: Silver in kumite under 21.
  • Omar Al-Mutairi: Silver in kumite juniors.
  • Salem Al-Ajmi: Silver in kumite Omi.
  • Abdul Hadi Al-Ajmi: Silver in junior kumite.
  • Salman Al-Harbi: Bronze in juniors.
  • Issa Al-Mutairi: Bronze in juniors.
  • Youssef Al-Harbi: Bronze in kumite under 21.

The delegation, under the leadership of Union President Fayez Al-Daihani and Treasurer Nayef Al-Harbi, along with the dedicated technical and administrative staff and talented athletes, showcased exceptional dedication and skill throughout the championship.

Furthermore, during the event, the General Assembly of the West Asian Karate Federation convened and endorsed Nayef Al-Harbi, the Treasurer of the Kuwaiti Karate Federation, for the esteemed position of Treasurer of the West Asian Federation. This recognition reflects the excellence and leadership within Kuwait's karate community on a regional scale.
