KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: The ninth relief plane from the Kuwaiti air bridge departed Wednesday morning for Rafic Hariri International Airport in Lebanon, carrying 40 tons of various food aid. This mission is part of the ongoing "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign, organized by the Al-Safa Charitable Humanitarian Society in collaboration with the ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense.

Mohammad Al-Shaya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Safa Charitable Humanitarian Society, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) before the plane's departure that the aid is part of Kuwait's ongoing commitment to establish an air bridge for providing humanitarian assistance to Lebanon. He emphasized that this effort reflects Kuwait's continued role in supporting Lebanon during its current challenging circumstances.

Al-Shaya noted that the society is working closely with the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon and Lebanese authorities to ensure the aid reaches the intended recipients at shelter centers. He highlighted the society's dedication to responding to humanitarian needs worldwide, particularly in regions affected by wars, conflicts, or natural disasters.

The shipment includes a variety of food items, such as rice, flour, and other essential long-term storable goods to help meet the needs of the Lebanese population. Al-Shaya also expressed his gratitude to the Ministries of Social Affairs, Interior, and Defense, represented by the Kuwaiti Air Force, as well as to all the donors for their humanitarian efforts in providing relief to those in need across the globe.
