KUWAIT CITY, March 16: Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan announced the continuation of extensive road maintenance work in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area as part of the new radical maintenance contracts for highways and internal roads. These contracts include 18 major road maintenance projects across various regions and six governorates.

Dr. Al-Mashaan stated in a press release on Sunday that the maintenance work in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area is proceeding according to the established plans and phases. The work begins with the most affected areas and then moves to less affected ones, with full commitment to ensuring quality and meeting international standards.

In a similar press release, Deputy Supervisor of Maintenance Works Engineer Abdullah Al-Mutairi confirmed that the current stage of work in Abdullah Al-Mubarak includes scraping and laying the second layer (Type 2), which precedes the final layer of asphalt. He mentioned that maintenance is currently being carried out between blocks 1 and 3, and the work is proceeding according to a specific timetable.

Al-Mutairi further noted that scraping works are taking place between blocks 1 and 2, as well as civil works in block 8. He also emphasized that the rainwater drainage lines in blocks 8 and 9, which precede the asphalt work, have been completed.
