KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: According to MEED Magazine, Kuwait is set to launch the tender for the third phase of the Dabdaba and Shagaya renewable energy project, which will have a capacity of 1,100 megawatts, by the end of this year. According to informed sources, the solar energy market in Kuwait is expected to experience significant growth in the coming years. Given the current increase in electricity consumption, the country will require at least seven new power stations in the next seven to eight years, with one station coming into service each year. The sources revealed that Kuwait needs to add 1,000 megawatts annually to prevent potential energy supply shortages.
